Sometimes the most sacred reminders come in quiet, ordinary moments—
ones we don’t realize are meaningful until we pause and reflect.
Life moves quickly. Seasons shift. Promises whispered in one chapter can feel distant in the next. But every now and then, something small—something almost forgettable—pulls us back to a truth we desperately need: God doesn’t forget.
He sees the timeline we’re walking.
He knows the longing buried beneath the surface.
And when the time is right, He brings fulfillment in ways we never expected.
That’s what this story is about—a simple reminder, wrapped in a memory, that God is still faithful. Even now.
One of the memories that surfaced was from 1989—the year I turned sixteen. As a little girl, I had longed to get my ears pierced. But because of complications, my dad made me wait. His promise? “When you turn sixteen.”
I asked year after year, but he held firm. Then, on my sixteenth birthday, my mom picked me up early from school. I passed my driver’s test, and drove—finally—to the jewelry store. Promise fulfilled.
That story was always special to me, but in this season—after experiencing multiple losses—it carries even more weight.
What I didn’t realize back then was how deeply I was surrounded by faithfulness—by people who kept their promises, who remembered, who saw me.
And friend, I want to remind you today:
God sees you. And He has not forgotten.
Not the promise.
Not the dream.
Not the longing hidden deep in your heart.
You don’t have to force it. You don’t have to figure it all out. If He said it, He will do it—at the appointed time.
I pray you’ll hold fast to hope, even in the waiting. Because He is faithful. And His timing? Always perfect.
